Who are we?

United Bible Societies (UBS) is a global fellowship dedicated to making the Bible accessible to everyone, forming a network of 155 independent Bible Societies operating in 240 countries and territories worldwide. The strategic and operational needs of the UBS members are supported by the Global Mission Team (GMT).

Over the past twelve months, we have been developing a strategic growth plan for the next 3–5 years. As part of this initiative, we are excited to announce several new opportunities to join our global mission efforts.

These new roles are designed to increase the GMT’s focus on the needs of the Bible Societies and ensure that they are well-equipped to deliver their strategies, programmes, projects, and ministries today and in the future.

As such, all applicants will need to be able to uphold the christian ethos and be comfortable working in a Christian organisation with sensitivity to the breadth of church support that UBSA enjoys. 1. Communications Officer (with English and French)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent 

Location: Home-based/Remote working (Ideally within Francophone African region)

Do you have a heart for mission and a gift for language? This role is vital in building bridges across our global network, with a particular focus on French-speaking communities. You will help elevate UBS’s profile through creative, bilingual content that reflects our shared vision and inspires our diverse audiences. You’ll work as part of a collaborative global team to deliver high-impact communications that reflect the depth and breadth of our ministry.

The Communications Officer (French-speaking) plays a key role in strengthening the visibility and engagement of the United Bible Societies (UBS) across French-speaking communities and stakeholders. You will be responsible for creating and delivering compelling, high-quality content that aligns with UBS’s mission of making the Bible accessible to everyone. As part of a dynamic communications team, you will contribute to the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives, fostering meaningful connections and amplifying UBS’s impact worldwide.
